Commercial preparation of acellular pertussis vaccine through effective recovery and purification using tangential flow filtration
The commercial preparation of acellular pertussis vaccine depends on the effective recovery and purification of antigens pertussis toxin (PT), filamentous agglutinin (FHA) and pertactin (PRN) from Bordetella pertussis fermentation. This study describes the recovery of antigens using an open channel 0.45-micron tangential flow filtration module with optimization of process parameters of transmembrane pressure, cross flow and flux. Under the optimized conditions, greater than 98% recovery of PT and FHA was obtained.

Inline Biocapacitance for Commercial Scale Single-Use Bioreactor Monitoring and Control
This talk will focus on challenges of offline sampling workflows, biocapacitance implementation in SU equipment, and PAT validation for commercialized products in GMP spaces. It will also cover some basic recommendations for implementing PAT during the process development lifecycle.

Please park in the south side parking area of the UNC Friday Conference Center in “conference visitor parking” (see map below). No parking pass is needed for this event at the Friday Center. The north side parking area (“Park and Ride”) is for UNC-CH staff and students (you will be ticketed).
